Inspiration is everywhere in the work of a therapist. There is a fair\u00a0amount of\u00a0relationship pain that\u00a0walks into my office. Many\u00a0wish to have love, acceptance, and belonging….for the\u00a0authentic self to be revealed, accepted, and loved. Not by what\u00a0a person does or accomplishes……but to be truly loved.\u00a0A dear\u00a0friend of mine\u00a0taught\u00a0me this about intimacy: “It’s\u00a0having the\u00a0ability to\u00a0sing the song of your beloved’s heart back to\u00a0them.”\u00a0 The need to be loved with\u00a0unconditional regard is natural and normal.<\/p>\n

\u00a0A poem for you……by the way, learn to sing the song of your heart to yourself, no matter what!<\/p>\n

The girl who dances to her music, Singing her favorite songs<\/em><\/p>\n

A slow, steady bluesy mix, a rough female vocalist<\/em><\/p>\n

Dreaming about you<\/em><\/p>\n

The girl who looks in the mirror<\/em><\/p>\n

Playing with her hair, twirling her locks<\/em><\/p>\n

Imagining he will love all of her<\/em><\/p>\n

Dreaming about you<\/em><\/p>\n

That She doesn\u2019t want to be that girl<\/em><\/p>\n

The girl who knows she\u2019s been living a half-life<\/em><\/p>\n

The girl who knows you know<\/em><\/p>\n

That she needs you, your real love<\/em><\/p>\n

Her heart flutters<\/em><\/p>\n

When her songs play<\/em><\/p>\n

When her friends sit with her<\/em><\/p>\n

When she loves him<\/em><\/p>\n

Singing, She looks for you, She doesn\u2019t see you<\/em><\/p>\n

She needs you where She Is<\/em><\/p>\n
