LINDSEY MELENDEZ, MSW, LSW

Lindsey Melendez earned her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Ball State University. She is skilled in a variety of therapeutic approaches that empower her clients to uncover and understand the root causes of their challenges, which often impact daily functioning. Lindsey has experience working with diverse populations, including children, teens, adults, college students, athletes, Veterans, and those navigating interpersonal relationships.

Lindsey is particularly passionate about treating trauma, including PTSD, childhood trauma, family dynamics, sexual assault, narcissistic abuse, and postpartum trauma. She also specializes in relational trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, and body image issues, offering compassionate support to those dealing with specific phobias, social anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional manipulation, and more. Lindsey’s therapeutic approach is integrative and holistic, blending trauma-informed therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), expressive therapies, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet the unique needs of each client.

Lindsey’s approach is grounded in empathy and compassion, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can freely explore their thoughts and feelings. She is dedicated to helping her clients find peace in the present, heal from past wounds, and build a hopeful future. Believing in the importance of self-care and a healthy work-life balance, Lindsey enjoys painting, reading, spending time in nature, engaging in sports, and being with her family, all of which keep her grounded and balanced.
