Book with Sonata

Sonata Miles, MS, LMHCA, NCC

Sonata earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Southern Indiana and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy to adolescents and adults, with a focus on meaningful, collaborative change. Alongside her clinical work, Sonata is passionate about supporting the growth of future counselors. She co-founded The Counselor Support & Success Initiative (CSSI), a community that offers peer-led licensure prep and professional support for counselors across the country.

Before starting therapy, many clients feel overwhelmed by the demands of others, often struggling with anxiety, burnout, or a sense of disconnection from themselves. In session, Sonata helps clients build boundaries, gain clarity, and reconnect with their identity. Her goal is to support them in prioritizing their well-being and living more fully in alignment with their values. This is their life, and they deserve to feel at home in it. Sonata meets clients where they are, creating space for curiosity, attunement, and deeper self-understanding. She is committed to providing affirming care that respects each client’s lived experience and cultural identity. Her approach integrates person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapies, Brainspotting, a somatic technique that helps access and process stored emotional pain, and relational work that explores early experiences, unmet needs, and current relationship patterns. Clients truly deserve to feel grounded, seen, and whole. Sonata offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin making sense of what’s been hard to hold alone.
