Kathy Henry, MSW, LCSW

Kathy has been an Individual, Marital, and Family counselor since 2005. She achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1990. In 2003, she left a successful career in Human Resources Management to pursue her Masters Degree in Social Work while enjoying some much needed time with her family. During her graduate work, Kathy worked with teenagers in a High School and spent one year as a therapist in a Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic.

With the combined careers, coupled with her own recovery and life experience, Kathy has had the great fortune to be able to see many of the issues she writes about from both sides. This gives Kathy a unique combination of skills on many issues including shame, abandonment, marital and relationship difficulties, depression and suicide ideation, codependency, perfectionism, procrastination, spirituality, sexuality, food addiction, negative body image, domestic violence/verbal abuse, job change/stress/loss, and work/life balance. She has an empathetic ear for many issues since she has been through her own recovery and tells her clients, “I am not here to judge you.” She is extremely passionate about helping people.

Kathy grew up in Indianapolis and currently resides in Carmel. She enjoys laughing with friends, working on home projects, watching birds, and spending time with her family. She also spent over 10 years active in Lamplighter, a 2 day Christian renewal experience similar to The Great Banquet.
