Thought Processing

We think of food every day, from the moment we open our eyes in the morning. We know what is healthy, what we want after a stressful day, or what tastes the best when we feel ill. But have you ever thought about what you feed your mind? What is your thought processing? Rewiring the brain will not happen overnight, and it should not.

To first begin rewiring your brain, you need to first observe your thoughts on a regular basis. Keep a journal near you and write down your negative thoughts that roll through your head throughout the day. We can become aware of our negative thoughts mentally and try to alter them. However, when we physically place pen to paper, we are truly able to think about what we are telling ourselves each day. You may not believe that your thoughts and what you tell yourself daily, makes much of a difference in the outcome of your day to day, but you will be surprised. If you would not talk to your best friend, why would you say it to yourself?

As you notice your thoughts, begin to recognize the feelings that become associated with the statements. You want to be more joyful and full of life, but how can you if you are constantly selling yourself short? Are your thoughts bringing you closer to your dream life or are they setting you back more? You have the power inside to change your life, but you must take control of your thoughts first. Sometimes all it takes is for someone to tell you your potential, for you to believe it for yourself. And it all begins with recognizing the thoughts bouncing around in your head. Change your thought processing to change your life!
